NATURE OF WORK &
Responsibilities:
Lay out work, assign work orders and coordinate daily activities using the appropriate staff and follow up to ensure proper completion of assignments. Maintain accurate DOH and Joint Commission compliant written logs and records. Review and ensure all department P&Ps are accurate and adhered to. Order and stock necessary parts and materials needed by the department for repairs and maintenance. Other duties as assigned. You must pass competencies for this position.

Salary Range:
From $69614 to $87583 Annually
Minimum Qualification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Must be reachable on current list or eligible for transfer. If list is exhausted, a provisional appointment may be made. You must meet the minimum qualifications and you must take the next scheduled exam (and have a reachable score to retain your position.) Promotion:
one year of permanent service as a Maintenance Supervisor 2. Open Competitive:
two years of second-level supervisory experience in the operation and maintenance of a physical plant. In order to be considered second-level supervisory experience, you must have direct supervisory responsibility for workers who also supervised one or more workers or incarcerated individuals. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Three to five years of second-level supervisory experience in the operation and maintenance of a physical plant. Working knowledge of practices and techniques of the electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry trades. Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical blue prints and advanced trouble shooting skills to diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical issues. Knowledge of DOH and Joint Commission standards as they apply to the facility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
